Privacy Policy

Our Approach

We keep this simple. ListingMorph collects only what we need to provide the service, we don't sell your data, and we don't run ads.

What We Collect

When you sign up and use ListingMorph, we store:

• Your email address and name (for account login and personalization)
• Items you describe and listings you generate (so we can show your history and improve the service)
• Photos you upload (used by AI to generate listings — see below for retention details)
• Your subscription status, payment method on file, and billing history (handled by Stripe, not stored on our servers)
• Custom signature and saved templates you create
• Basic usage data like generation counts and login times

How We Use AI

ListingMorph uses OpenAI's API to generate listing content and analyze photos. When you generate a listing or use Thrift Scout, the item description and any uploaded photos are sent to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI's API usage policy states they don't train their models on API inputs by default.

Photos are NOT permanently stored. They're sent to OpenAI for analysis, the result is returned to you, and the original photo data is discarded after generation. We do save the generated text output in your history so you can copy and reuse it.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide the core service — generating listings and recommendations
• To enforce rate limits and subscription tiers
• To send transactional emails (welcome, re-engagement, billing notices)
• To respond when you contact us via chat or email
• To improve the service based on aggregate patterns (never tied to individual users in any communication)

Third Parties We Share With

We use a handful of trusted services that have access to limited parts of your data:

• Supabase — stores your account info, profile, history, and templates
• Stripe — processes payments and stores billing info securely. We never see your card details
• OpenAI — processes your item descriptions and photos to generate listings
• Vercel — hosts the website
• Resend — sends transactional emails (welcome and re-engagement)

We do not share, sell, or rent your personal data to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party not listed above.

Data Retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. Your generation history is limited to the most recent 50 generations. If you delete your account, your data is deleted within 30 days, except for billing records we're legally required to retain (typically 7 years for tax purposes).

Uploaded photos are NOT stored after AI analysis is complete. Only the generated text output is saved.

Cookies

ListingMorph uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We don't use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we have about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your generation history (via the CSV export feature for Pro users)

Children's Privacy

ListingMorph is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you're a parent who believes your child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete the account immediately.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure password hashing through Supabase Auth, and limited employee access (currently just the founder). No system is 100% secure though, so we recommend using a strong unique password.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Significant changes will be announced via email or a banner on the site. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
